Participant Involvement Services
“Participant involvement” is an umbrella term encompassing all aspects of interactions and communications amongst the public, industry, and regulatory bodies. While these are the three main participant groups in energy development, it is recognized that other groups such as government and non government organizations and synergy groups for example, also have a vested interest.
The goal of a participant involvement program is to enable the submission of an application without delay. To achieve this goal, the primary focus should be on the interrelatedness of all participants and the need for collaborative procedures. These procedures include frequent communication whether through face-to-face meetings, phone calls or electronic messages, and lay the groundwork for cooperation, a sense of inclusion and a positive experience.y
The key steps in a participant involvement program are: planning, implementing and documenting.
